West Campus Revitalization Project update
As outlined in Chancellor Cole’s campus email, Ƶ will soon begin a project to revitalize the western side of our campus.
Work will begin on Monday, May 18, to improve the roadway and parking on Kenan Drive behind the Hanes Student Commons and Gray Building. The project will begin at Hanes Student Commons and Parking Lot O.
During this work, Kenan Drive will not be accessible to vehicular traffic. However, vehicles will still be able to enter and exit campus via the Main Street and Chapel Street entrances.
The expected end date for the project is the start of the fall semester, around Aug. 13.
Please note the following temporary parking adjustments:
- Individuals with reserved parking on Kenan Drive will be relocated to Parking Lot R (Gravel Lot) on Chapel Street.
- Reserved parking spaces will be designated in the first row on the left, adjacent to Lot G, when entering Parking Lot R.
- These spaces will be clearly identified with temporary “Reserved Parking” signs.
We appreciate your patience, cooperation and understanding as we complete this important campus improvement project. Additional updates will be shared as the project progresses.
