Fellowships, Internships & Grants
There are several fellowships, scholarships, and awards available for eligible ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students. Various departments oversee specific programs. Contact information is noted on the specific fellowship, grant or award web page:
- Fellowships and internships in a variety of fields are offered to eligible ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students through the Office of Career Development in partnership with the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts and William R. Kenan Jr. Charitable Trust and the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Foundation.
- Career Development Grants provide limited financial assistance to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students for projects that improve career opportunities. The Westward Bound Grant provides assistance to ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ graduates interested in making the transition to the West Coast. The Semans Art Fund provides grant funding for current ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students for study, projects and performances.
- The Kenan Excellence Scholarship provides full tuition, fees, and room and board for five incoming ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ students each year.

- The Sarah Graham Kenan Excellence Scholarship is for a rising college senior who is a degree-seeking candidate with the following
attributes:
- Outstanding characteristics in talent and artistic achievement.
- Excellence in academic performance (a cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or better and a cumulative 3.0 or better in academics)
- Exceptional qualities in leadership and citizenship.
