Jacquie Barnbrook was the producer of Sony Pictures Imageworks鈥 first in-house animated short film, 鈥淭he ChubbChubbs!,鈥 winner of the 2002 Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. 鈥淭he ChubbChubbs!,鈥 which was seen in over 2,500 theaters was also honored with a BAFTA nomination and was the recipient of numerous awards. It is the first animated short to have its own DVD release.
She wrote, produced and co-directed an award-winning live action short film entitled 鈥淲ear Something Nice.鈥 Jacquie also helped create and produce 鈥淚nspire: Chicago Spire,鈥 an artistic CG film about the Chicago Spire, intended to be the largest residential building in the western hemisphere. She produced the theatrically released animated short 鈥淟ive Music,鈥 which was animated through the power of social networking. She is currently directing several animated PSAs for the web about the tragic state of plastic in our ocean.
Jacquie has 20+ years of experience in film, primarily in visual effects and animation, working with A-level producers and directors鈥攂oth as a producer and an actor. Some of her credits include 鈥淐ontact,鈥 鈥淪hrek 2, & 3,鈥 鈥淗aunted Mansion,鈥 鈥淪pider-Man,鈥 鈥淪tuart Little,鈥 鈥淏ody of Lies,鈥 鈥淪ex and the City 2,鈥 鈥淎 Christmas Carol,鈥 鈥淭he Adventures of Tintin,鈥 Ocean鈥檚 13,鈥 鈥淎lice in Wonderland,鈥 鈥淭ed,鈥 鈥淭he Hunger Games,鈥 鈥淐osmos: A Space Odyssey,鈥 鈥淭he Little Prince,鈥 鈥淛ungle Book,鈥 鈥淧irates of the Caribbean 5鈥 and most recently she has been consulting with Disney as the bidding producer for 鈥淒umbo,鈥 鈥淎laddin,鈥 鈥淎 Wrinkle in Time,鈥 鈥淭he Nutcracker and the Four Realms,鈥 鈥淧inocchio,鈥 鈥淐ruella,鈥 鈥淟ady and the Tramp鈥 and 鈥淭ogo鈥 for their streaming platform.
Her experience in leading edge technology has led her to producing live action 360 video and CG interactive VR projects for The Virtual Reality Company; 鈥淭he Bus to Canton,鈥 a VR documentary about Jerome Bettis and his rise to the Football Hall of Fame; 鈥淭he Martian VR Experience,鈥 a narrative interactive experience which was the first of its kind as an immersive cinema experience; and consulting for Ridley Scott and Associates. She is currently directing a live action comedy series and in pre-production on several animated VR projects with her partners at VRiety Shows!
Lastly, she is partnered with Emmy and Academy Award-winning make-up designer Bill Corso at Digital Make-up Group, a digital enterprise specializing in aging, de-aging and enhancing real world and other worldly characters.
