A versatile and multifaceted artist, guitar faculty Luke Payne has appeared with numerous ensembles around the southeastern United States, performing in a wide palate of styles ranging from classical to rock to contemporary fusion. Payne remains a devoted student of all kinds of music, including the classical music of India, which he has studied for several years with Gaurgang Doshi.

- Held a long relationship with ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, teaching in the guitar program as interim professor, as resident artist for the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ summer guitar workshop, ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ community outreach programs and now as faculty in the School of Music
