High School Parents

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ provides a safe and stimulating environment where classmates share in a full, active high school experience — from AP courses and field trips to yearbooks and Prom. We also offer the full benefits of a university, including a Wellness Center with preventative and injury care, counseling services and a Fitness Center, plus a campus police and public safety department.

The support of parents and family members is also an integral part of the high school student experience. The Parent Support Organization (PSO) provides avenues for parents who want to stay engaged and be involved.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition is provided free of charge for in-state high school students, and a majority of additional billed costs are covered by the North Carolina High School Artists Grant. There is a tuition charge for out-of-state high school students.

The Tuition Grant Program provides free college tuition for in-state students graduating from the High School Program. Those graduates who are accepted into and enroll in college full time at a constituent UNC System institution can attend college at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ or any other UNC System institution tuition-free.

The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Police Department aims to facilitate a safe, secure and service-oriented environment for the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ campus and all members of our community. In addition to professionally-trained police officers, the department operates a 24/7 communications center. Resources and services include safety escorts for students, routine building patrols, health and welfare checks, emergency first response and more.

Health, wellness and counseling services are provided to all ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ High School students. Medical services are provided by a team consisting of a Board Certified Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ also partners with Wake Forest Baptist Health Sports Medicine Physicians. Counseling Services are provided by full-time licensed counselors, who are available for individual and group sessions.

One of the best ways to support your high school student is by attending one of the many performances, showcases and exhibitions during the school year. These events occur on campus, at the Stevens Center and in the Winston-Salem community. Some events are also available via livestream, free of charge.
