��������Ƶ alumni nominated for Emmy Awards

Several alumni from ��������Ƶ are nominated for Emmy Awards for their work on some of the most popular television and streaming shows of the year.

Nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced virtually today.

Tiffany Little Canfield (B.F.A. Drama ’00) is nominated for outstanding casting for a comedy series for Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building.” The series has a total of 12 nominations including outstanding comedy series.

Will Files (B.F.A. Film ’02) is nominated in three categories for Netflix’s “Stranger Things” and Hulu’s “Prey.” His nominations include outstanding sound editing for a comedy or drama series (one hour) and outstanding sound mixing for a comedy or drama (one hour) for the “Stranger Things Chapter Nine: The Piggyback” episode, and outstanding sound editing for a limited or anthology series, movie or special for “Prey.” He was a co-supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer for “Stranger Things” and co-supervising sound editor for “Prey.”

Michael Brake (B.F.A. Film ’97) is nominated for outstanding sound editing for a comedy or drama series (half-hour) and animation for HBO’s “Barry,” the “wow” episode. He was the music editor for the episode. Brake previously won two Emmy Awards for his work on “Barry” in the same category.

Jane Rizzo (B.F.A. Film ’98) is nominated for outstanding picture editing for a drama series for the “America Decides” episode of HBO’s “Succession.” The show is leading with 27 Emmy nominations.

Jesse Friedman (B.F.A. Film ’01) is nominated for outstanding picture editing for an unstructured reality series for the “Lady and the Glamp” episode of “Vanderpump Rules.” He was an editor for the episode.

Alex Perrone (B.F.A. Dance ’12) is nominated for outstanding period and or character makeup for “T��� Mandalorian.” She was the makeup artist for the “Chapter 22: Guns For Hire” episode.

Alex Bickel (B.F.A. Film ’04) was the colorist for Netflix's “Beef,” which picked up 13 nominations.

John Maynard (B.F.A. Film ’09) was the production sound mixer for Netflix's “I Think You Should Leave,” which is nominated for outstanding short form comedy, drama, or variety series. Alumnus Daniel Kloch (B.F.A. Film ’09) was the boom operator for the series.

Awards in the entertainment categories will be presented Monday, Jan. 15, in a ceremony to be broadcast on Fox. The Creative Arts portion will take place on Jan. 6 and 7.
